Venezuela at a Crossroads
Organized by Stanford's Venezuelan Student Association (VenSA), “Venezuela at a Crossroads” is a conference that hopes to serve as an academic response to Venezuela's current socio-economic and institutional crisis, unprecedented in its modern history. Using perspectives from various academic disciplines, this initiative aims to expand the debate on how best to address the country's deficiencies. Its main goal is to promote research in politics, economics, sociology, history, and law that may help our community better understand the underpinnings of the Venezuelan situation, which carry broad implications for Latin America at large. By doing this, the event also seeks to spread interest and awareness in the challenges that form part of the Venezuelan life experience.
